Dr. Joan Neuberger, a professor at University of Texas-Austin led anti-campus carry efforts, including a petition to bar students who conceal carry from entering classrooms, in violation of Texas law. A change.org petition organized by the same group said, “WE OPPOSE GUNS IN OUR CLASSROOMS AS A DIRECT ASSAULT ON OUR FREE SPEECH RIGHTS.” Despite her proclamations about the dangers of guns, Neuberger is not actually a statistician or criminal justice professor, but a Russian history professor.
